Work Placement Co-ordinator

Permanent/Full Time 37 Hours

Salary – £24,000 per annum up to £26,000 per annum depending on experience

Location – Split site - Stafford and Telford

Fuse is a part of The Wrekin Housing Group focusing on social investment and social value. Fuse seeks to improve people’s life chances and quality of life by offering and supporting work placements, training and volunteering opportunities, often to those furthest from the job market.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced employment and skills professional to lead the development and implementation of our work placement programme at the Northfield Village Stafford and Clean Cut grounds maintenance operation.

If you have experience in supporting people to achieve their potential, excellent communication skills to build positive working relationships with participants, partners and referral agencies and are confident and motivated to work on your own initiative as part of a small and dynamic team then we would like to hear from you.

Our new programme Northfield Opportunity Knocks, Stafford, aims to build on the excellent care, retirement living and community facilities and services that the Northfield Village can offer, to encourage people to consider a career in the health and social care sector.

Clean Cut Services has been operating for 5 years, during which we have supported dozens of long term unemployed training placements. Our business model is one trainee placement in each of our work teams. Opportunities also exist for work placements with potential across the wider Wrekin Housing Group.

The Fuse Work Placement Co-Ordinator is a new post, facilitating opportunities and providing employment support and advice to the trainees and placements during their time with us, working closely with site managers who will provide direct daily supervision.

What you will need:

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering pre-employment information, advice and guidance, training and mentoring and delivering results. You will need a full driving license and be willing to under go a DBS check.
