Location and Hours of Work:
Elmwood, Stafford – 37.5 Hours per week
Oakwood, Telford - 37.5 Hours per week
(All working patterns will cover a 7 day rota)
Salary: £17,030.23 per annum

This role will require the successful applicant to engage with tenants and their friends/ families and third party agencies to encourage participation, to lead and coordinate social activities, events and trips, whilst supporting the care and catering services to facilitate social activities.
Day to day responsibilities include booking rooms, accommodation and transport for all events and trips, effectively managing corporate events budget to ensure this is utilised efficiently, recording and monitoring events on the internal database, creating and facilitating competitions for tenants to take part in, whilst always working effectively with other members of the shire living Team.

What you will need:
Our Activities and Events coordinators are required to deal with customers and colleagues with commitment, integrity and respect. The successful candidate will need to be approachable and have the ability to adapt their communication styles dependent on the needs of the customer.
You must hold a minimum of GCSE’s grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths. The ideal candidate will be willing to work flexibly, outside normal hours including evenings and weekends where necessary. Holding a current Driving License is desirable.
Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational and interpersonal skills and maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times.
You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check.
